Influence in Music
Over the years I’ve had a lot of inspirations when it comes to music, the first of which probably being my dad. My dad has been drumming for over 30 years and is the entire reason I got into music in the first place. I’d always been a fan of hip hop because my dad would play a lot of Kanye West around the house and on the radio in the car when I was young. From there he got me into playing the drums, which I did on and off for a few years total. It wasn’t until 2019 though that I got into rapping myself. It started off with making diss tracks with my friends and slowly evolved into me downloading a free DAW and using free YouTube beats to create my first song that I really rapped on, going for a style similar to that of Eminem. That song was recorded in my bedroom wardrobe and sounded terrible being recorded on a gaming headset, so after the poor response I took a break for almost 2 years. In the meantime I’d rediscovered my love for Juice WRLD, which then led onto me discovering The Kid LAROI. Finding LAROI’s music really inspired me as I related to his songs a lot, so in October of 2020 I decided to put my all in and start creating a project which later became my album and to this day LAROI is still my biggest influence in music, even when working on very different styles of music.
